The National Youths Service Corps (NYSC)
Coordinator in Niger State, Mr. Steven Ehoda-adi, yesterday said 281 fake corps
members identified at the state orientation camp have been sent out of the camp
after failing to present their call-up letters.
According to him, some of them gave the excuse of
being attacked by armed robbers on their way thereby losing their call up
letters, others claimed to have misplaced them while some only presented
photocopies of the letters which he said is not acceptable.
Declaring the orientation camp closed, Governor
Mua’zu Babangida Aliyu said despite the insecurity in the country occasioned by
the activities of the Boko Haram, the unity of the country is not negotiable.
He said though insurgency is threatening the
relative peace in some parts of the country, the activities of the Boko Haram
sects would soon be brought to an end.
