Admission Requirements for Pre-Degree and
Foundation Programmes
1.
A.(i – iii) – Candidates must possess at least five (5) credits in SSCE in not
more than two sittings to include the following subjects: English Language,
Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
2. A.(i – iii)
– Candidates must possess at least five (5) credits in SSCE in not more than
two sittings to include the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics,
Economics, Government, Literature in English.
A.(iv – vi) – Requirements to be provided by the
Department at the point of screening/registration.
B.(i – vi) – Candidates must posse(5) credits in
SSCE in not more than two sittings to include the following subjects: English
Language and Mathematics, plus any of the following subjects: Economics,
Government, C.R.S., History, Literature in English and Geography.
3. A.(i – xi) – Candidates
must possess at least five (5) credits in SSCE in not more than two sittings to
include the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Physics,
Chemistry and Biology.
4. A.(i – viii) –
Candidates must possess at least five (5) credits in SSCE in not more than two
sittings to include the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics,
Physics, Chemistry and any other Science subject.
5. The Foundation and
Partnership Programme is designed to prepare candidates for external
examination conducted by the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board
(JUPEB). The following subjects are taught: English Language, Christian
Religious Studies, French, History, Igbo, Literature in English, Music, Visual
Arts, Accounting, Business Studies, Economics, Geography, Government, Biology,
Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics. Each student would be required to offer a
maximum of four (4) subjects.
